Maybe look for co-relation of the albums having problems? Like maybe they were ripped with a specific iTunes version, so similar time period? And re-rip them?īy the way, both MS and Kinsky are OpenHome based… if you were using the N1A’s Twonky server, you’d need to set the “Controller Mode” to Mode 1, but that setting has no effect on MS, which doesn't need it by default anyway. iso and I didn't embed album art properly).Ĭould be an iTunes related issue?… IIRC, over the years various iTunes versions have tweaked ID3 tagging. dsf tracks (mainly because they were from. I did have some problems with a couple of. Hmmm… I didn't have problems with album art with MS on the N1A. Unfortunately, quite a number of the transferred albums have missing album artwork. Installing MS on the N1A went without a hitch. Just got the N1A yesterday and managed to transfer most (9 albums missing from 1000+ transferred) of my music library from the Synology. Regardless of which output I use, having the Melco produces the best analog sound (like listening to a master tape) I've ever had in my system, and that's from a digital device! Never measured it though, but I have complained to no avail. In my area, the coax ground from my cable company is sitting at some unknown potential, I can feel a tingle when I disconnect the incoming cable and grab the end with one hand while I hold house ground with the other hand. That's why I want to try the travel router approach. I also believe that electrically isolating the LAN input from my network and cable equipment, which I keep on the other side of my room, is a big help. I try to avoid any network peripherals near my audio equipment which is why I never tried to put the CP between the Player Output and Bridge II input. ![]() There is an upcoming firmware upgrade to the PS Audio DAC that among other fixes will allow the USB input to accept direct DSD (presently it can only receive DoP) so that might change the overall sonic signature to compete with the Bridge II Ethernet input. ![]() I looked at Twonky versions released after the one Melco uses now and DoP is still not available, so I'm hoping Melco will add that feature on their own. Can the CP-800 play DSD directly? USB in my system sounds wonderful, but the Ethernet Player Output gives the sound a detail and holographic sound that USB doesn't quite have. So to listen to DSD from the Melco, I need to play via USB. With Jriver and Minimserver I can feed DoP to the Bridge II input of the PS Audio DAC but not with Twonky.
